"God answers others but not me. I must not be important enough to Him."
How it sounds in your head: I hear testimonies at church of people getting instant healings and financial breakthroughs. Why them and not me? Maybe I'm just not as valuable to God. Perhaps He has favorites and I'm not one of them.
"Then Peter opened his mouth and said: 'In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality.'"
-- Acts 10:34Enemy twisting comparison into condemnation, suggesting God operates by favoritism rather than covenant, making His responsiveness dependent on the person's worth rather than His own character.
When surrounded by others' testimony of answered prayer while yours remains unmanifested, the mind interprets disparity as divine preference. The enemy uses comparison to forge conclusions about your value to God.
Mephibosheth was crippled, hiding in obscurity, convinced he was irrelevant ('a dead dog'). David searched him out, restored ALL of Saul's land to him INSTANTLY, gave him permanent place at the king's table—not for anything Mephibosheth did, but because of covenant with Jonathan.
I REFUSE the lie that God plays favorites or that I'm less important to Him. IT IS WRITTEN that God shows no partiality—He doesn't have an inner circle that gets better treatment. I am Abraham's seed, a co-heir with Christ, seated with Him in heavenly places. The same blood that saved Billy Graham saved me. IT IS WRITTEN that I am chosen, holy, and dearly loved. The BARAK blessing doesn't rank worthiness—it flows by covenant, and I am IN CHRIST. I am the righteousness of God in Him, not by my performance but by His finished work.
The Father doesn't rank His children by importance or distribute blessings by merit system. Like David who searched for Mephibosheth to bless him lavishly for Jonathan's sake, your Father seeks you out to bless you extravagantly for Jesus' sake—not because you've earned it, but because covenant demands it.
