"God allowed this betrayal, so He must not care about protecting me."
How it sounds in your head: If God really loved you, He would have stopped this. He sees everything—He SAW it coming and didn't prevent it. Maybe you're not important enough for Him to protect. Other people seem to get miracles, but you got betrayed. Where was He?
"If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?"
-- Romans 8:31-32Enemy accusation blaming God for human sin, making the Father the enemy instead of the defender, when betrayal is the result of FREE WILL, not God's lack of care.
God IS all-powerful and could have stopped it. The silence during the betrayal felt like absence. If He cares, why didn't He intervene? The pain makes it hard to see His love.
Paul wrote 'At my first defense no one stood with me, but all forsook me' yet in the NEXT verse said 'But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me.' Human betrayal happened AND God's presence was real—both true, and God IMMEDIATELY turned Paul's defense into gospel proclamation before kings.
I REFUSE the lie that God allowed betrayal because He doesn't care about me. IT IS WRITTEN that if God is FOR me, who can be against me, and He who gave His own Son freely gives me ALL things. I am not defined by what God 'allowed'—I am defined by a Father who RAN to me, gave His Son for me, and is turning every betrayal for my GOOD. IT IS WRITTEN that the Lord stands WITH me and strengthens me. I am BARAK-blessed with covenant protection and a God who collects my tears and turns my pain into PURPOSE.
The Father didn't stand back and watch—His heart BROKE with yours, and He was ALREADY running toward you before the betrayal finished. He's not waiting for you to 'understand why'; He's weeping with you, holding you, and He's already prepared the beauty that's coming from these ashes.
