"God allowed my business to fail as punishment for past mistakes in my life."
How it sounds in your head: Maybe this is payback. I wasn't perfect. I made choices I regret. Now at the end, He's settling accounts.
"Having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross."
-- Colossians 2:14Religious karma teaching: making God a cosmic accountant instead of covenant Father.
End-of-life reflection brings up every regret, and religious teaching about reaping and sowing makes her interpret loss as divine punishment for old sins.
She had five husbands and was living with a man not her husband—total moral failure by religious standards. Jesus didn't punish her; He revealed Himself as Messiah TO HER FIRST and made her the first evangelist to her city.
I REFUSE the lie that my business failed as punishment. IT IS WRITTEN: The handwriting of requirements against me was nailed to the cross—there is NO RECORD. God is not a cosmic accountant settling scores. The woman with five husbands got REVELATION, not punishment. IT IS WRITTEN: There is NO condemnation for those in Christ. I stand forgiven, righteous, blessed by the BARAK covenant that can't be reversed by my past. Business fails for a thousand reasons—divine punishment isn't one of them.
The Father isn't punishing you through business loss. He already punished SIN—at the cross, on JESUS—and declared you righteous as a gift the moment you believed.
