"Giving is for people who have disposable income, not for survival mode"
How it sounds in your head: This teaching must be for middle-class people with extras. I'm trying to keep the lights on, not build a missions budget. God understands my situation is different. Giving is a luxury I can't afford right now.
"So He called His disciples to Himself and said to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all those who have given to the treasury; for they all put in out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all that she had, her whole livelihood.'"

The financial pressure is crushing and constant. Teachings on generosity feel tone-deaf to her reality, like advice for a different world. Survival mode leaves no room for 'extras' like giving.
She had two small copper coins, her entire living, while rich people gave large amounts from surplus. She gave EVERYTHING in trust, and Jesus said she gave MORE than all of them combined—God measures by sacrifice and faith, not amount.
I REFUSE the lie that giving is only for those with margin. IT IS WRITTEN that the poor widow gave MORE than the wealthy, and Jesus celebrated her poverty-giving, not condemned it. I am not disqualified by survival mode—I am POSITIONED for miracle provision. The BARAK blessing declares the Lord COMMANDS blessing on my storehouse, whether full or empty. IT IS WRITTEN that my God supplies ALL need according to HIS riches, not my current state. I am Abraham's seed, heir to PROMISE, and the covenant doesn't have income requirements. My giving from little releases God's multiplication in much.
The Father isn't waiting for you to climb to middle-class before you can participate in kingdom generosity—He's looking for the widow with two mites who trusts Him more than her bank account. He RUNS toward your scarcity with abundance, not away from it with disappointment.
