"Everyone's life is easier than mine. I'm the only one barely surviving."
How it sounds in your head: They all seem fine—laughing in the hallways, posting aesthetic study sessions, talking about prom dresses. Meanwhile you're having panic attacks in bathroom stalls and can't remember the last morning you didn't want to skip. Everyone else got easy mode; you're on expert difficulty.
"No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it."
-- 1 Corinthians 10:13Enemy isolating you through comparison, hiding everyone else's struggles while magnifying yours to create false narrative of sole suffering.
Nobody else is crying in their car before school. Nobody else seems to be falling apart. They're all functioning, thriving even, while you're white-knuckling through every single day.
Elijah was suicidal, hiding in a cave, convinced he was the ONLY faithful one left and might as well die. God revealed there were 7,000 others fighting the same fight—Elijah wasn't alone, just isolated by enemy lies. God didn't shame him; He fed him and gave him PURPOSE.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm the only one struggling while everyone else is fine. IT IS WRITTEN that what I'm facing is COMMON—not unique, not punishment, but HUMAN. I am not alone in this. God is FAITHFUL and is ALREADY making my way of escape. IT IS WRITTEN I am blessed and highly favored, the head not the tail. The BARAK covers me in the hard seasons, not just the highlight reels. I am not uniquely cursed. I am NORMALLY human and SUPERNATURALLY loved.
Father sees you in the bathroom stall, in the car, in the cave—and He's not disappointed. He's running toward you with FOOD, REST, and PURPOSE, just like He did for Elijah, because you're not failing, you're HUMAN, and He adores you exactly there.
