"Everyone finds better friends and leaves me behind."
How it sounds in your head: You watch them get closer to other people while you fade into the background. Someone funnier, prettier, less complicated always comes along and you become the forgotten one. You're always the placeholder until someone better shows up.
"For He Himself has said, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you.'"
-- Hebrews 13:5Comparison culture and enemy assignment to make you believe you're in competition for love instead of covenant.
You've seen best friends become closer to others, been replaced in friend groups, watched new people get the attention you used to have. The pattern of being left behind feels like destiny.
Elisha refused to leave Elijah even when others fell away, and when Elijah was taken up, Elisha INSTANTLY received a double portion of his anointing. His loyalty wasn't overlooked; it was REWARDED beyond measure on the spot.
I REFUSE the lie that everyone finds better friends and leaves me. IT IS WRITTEN that God will NEVER leave me nor forsake me, and the friendships He builds carry that same forever-covenant. I am not in competition because there IS no competition. IT IS WRITTEN in Romans 8:37 that I am MORE than a conqueror through Him who loved me. The BARAK blessing makes me IRREPLACEABLE in the lives I'm called to. I don't get left behind; I get ELEVATED with people who see me as a TREASURE. My value doesn't decrease when someone else enters the room.
Your Father isn't waiting for you to become more interesting. He's running toward you with friendships where you're NOT replaceable, where you're someone's FIRST call, before you've competed for a single moment of attention.
