"Everyone else made money while I'm the only one who lost everything in these investments."
How it sounds in your head: You scroll social media and see friends posting about gains while your account bleeds red. At your age, you're supposed to have this figured out, but you feel like the one woman at the table who made the catastrophically wrong choice. The isolation of loss makes you wonder if there's something fundamentally wrong with you that blocks blessing.
"For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves. But they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise."
-- 2 Corinthians 10:12Comparison culture combined with enemy accusation that you're uniquely disqualified from the prosperity others experience.
You actually see others' gains while experiencing your losses, and the contrast feels like evidence you're outside God's favor. At forty-something, you expected to have financial wisdom other women seem to have naturally.
Peter fished all night and caught NOTHING while presumably others were catching fish in the same waters. At Jesus' word, he threw the net on the right side and caught 153 large fish instantly—going from total failure to net-breaking abundance in one moment.
I REFUSE the lie that everyone else prospers while I uniquely lose. IT IS WRITTEN that comparing ourselves among ourselves is not wise, and what others experience has nothing to do with MY covenant. Peter caught nothing all night then caught 153 fish at one word—instant breakthrough after total failure. I am Abraham's seed and the BARAK is on my life regardless of others' portfolios. IT IS WRITTEN in John 6:37 that Jesus will never cast me out, and my restoration comes from HIS nature, not market performance or comparison with others.
The Father isn't comparing your portfolio to others' accounts or waiting for you to measure up to their gains. He's running toward you with YOUR specific blessing prepared, the one with your name on it, completely independent of what He's doing in anyone else's account.
