"Everyone else has the family/support system I'll never have"
How it sounds in your head: She calls her mom for advice and actually gets help. Her parents pay for things, show up, celebrate her. You got the dysfunctional origin story—the absent dad, the critical mom, the family that's more burden than support. You're starting life with a deficit they'll never understand.
"A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy habitation. God sets the solitary in families."
-- Psalm 68:5-6Source: Generational brokenness and enemy's lie that your lack of earthly father means you lack a Father entirely
You see her family function like a support system while yours feels like a liability. Every family gathering they have reminds you of what yours will never be.
Mephibosheth was crippled, orphaned, hiding in poverty, from a fallen dynasty. King David summoned him and INSTANTLY restored all his grandfather's land, gave him a place at the king's table permanently—'as one of the king's sons.' One conversation, total reversal.
I REFUSE the lie that my broken family disqualifies me from blessing. IT IS WRITTEN that God is a FATHER to the fatherless and sets the solitary in families—I am not lacking support; I am DEEPLY SUPPORTED by the ultimate Father. What man withheld, God PROVIDES. IT IS WRITTEN in Matthew 12:50 that whoever does the will of the Father is Jesus' brother and sister and mother—I have family in every city through Christ. The BARAK blessing breaks generational curses and releases generational FAVOR. The Father isn't sad about my origin story—He's writing a redemption arc so beautiful it'll preach for generations.
The Father sees the empty chair at your table and He's not filling it—He's BECOMING it, sitting down Himself as the parent who will never leave, never criticize, never withhold. You're not the orphan; you're the daughter He's been running toward your whole life.
