"Everyone else gets pregnant easily while I'm left out of motherhood."
How it sounds in your head: My feed is full of gender reveals and birth announcements from women who weren't even trying. Friends complain about surprise pregnancies while I chart ovulation like a part-time job. I'm the only one buying tampons while everyone else is in the maternity section.
"Then God remembered Rachel, and God listened to her and opened her womb."
-- Genesis 30:22Comparison curse that measures God's goodness by other people's timelines instead of His specific promises to you.
Social media creates constant visual evidence of other women's fertility while your own remains invisible and unproven. Every pregnancy announcement feels like proof you're uniquely cursed while others are uniquely blessed.
Hannah was barren for years while her rival Peninnah provoked her with multiple children. God remembered Hannah and she conceived Samuel—not because she earned it, but because God's timing finally arrived.
I REFUSE the lie that everyone else gets pregnant easily while I'm left out. IT IS WRITTEN that God remembered Rachel and opened her womb after years of watching her sister conceive easily. The same God who remembered barren Rachel, barren Hannah, barren Elizabeth is the God who sees me right now. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed coming in and blessed going out, blessed in the city and blessed in the field—the BARAK blessing doesn't skip me because others conceived first. My timeline is not their timeline. Rachel's delay didn't mean Rachel's denial. I am not forgotten, not overlooked, not passed over. God is not early, not late, but always exactly on time. Other women's babies are not evidence of my barrenness—they are evidence that God opens wombs.
The Father isn't comparing you to other women any more than He compared Rachel to Leah—He's writing a specific story with your life that includes perfect timing you can't yet see. He's not blessing them instead of you; He's blessing them AND preparing to bless you in ways that will make the waiting make sense.
