"Everyone can see how fat and disgusting I am; I can't go out like this"
How it sounds in your head: Every person who looks at me is judging my body. I'm the fattest one in every room and everyone notices. I need to hide until I fix this.
"But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob, and He who formed you, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you."
-- Isaiah 43:1-2Enemy using shame and perceived judgment to create isolation and self-hatred.
Social media constantly displays perfect bodies, and every glance from others feels like confirmation they're disgusted. The mirror seems to prove it.
Bartimaeus sat begging by the roadside, blind and poor, while the crowd told him to be QUIET and stop embarrassing himself. Jesus CALLED HIM FORWARD in front of everyone, didn't shame his appearance, and IMMEDIATELY healed him - then Bartimaeus followed Jesus on the road with everyone watching.
I REFUSE the lie that everyone is judging my body with disgust. IT IS WRITTEN that the LORD who created me says 'Fear not, for I have redeemed you - you are Mine.' My Father calls me by NAME, not by my weight or appearance. While I hide in shame, He is rejoicing over me with singing. IT IS WRITTEN that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. No one's opinion of my body changes my Father's delight in me. I am Abraham's seed, covered by the BARAK blessing - blessed in the city and in the field, coming in and going out. I walk in the freedom of a loved son.
Your Father isn't waiting for you to 'fix' your body before He proudly calls you into the room. He's already singing over you, delighting in you, calling you by name while you're still hiding.
