"Christian leaders can't be trusted—they're all hiding something and using people."
How it sounds in your head: You've watched them fall one by one—the youth pastor arrested, the senior pastor's secret account, the elder's financial fraud. They asked you to serve until you broke, praised you publicly while draining you privately, then replaced you without a thank you. Every scandal proves you were right to guard your heart.
"And we urge you, brethren, to recognize those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. Be at peace among yourselves."
-- 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13Source: The enemy using real failures of imperfect leaders to paint all spiritual authority as corrupt and keep you from receiving impartation.
The statistics are devastating—megachurch scandals, abuse coverups, financial embezzlement. You personally gave your time and gifts to leaders who turned out to be manipulators. Your discernment wasn't wrong; they really were using the platform for themselves.
Elisha trusted Elijah so completely he refused to leave his side and asked for a DOUBLE portion of his spirit. When Elijah was taken, Elisha immediately received the mantle and performed TWICE the miracles—trust in godly leadership released supernatural multiplication.
I REFUSE the lie that all leaders are corrupt and I must protect myself through isolation. IT IS WRITTEN that God sets leaders in the Body to equip the saints, and I will honor those who labor in love. The failures of some do NOT disqualify the faithfulness of others. I have discernment through the Holy Spirit to recognize true shepherds versus hirelings. IT IS WRITTEN that where there is no vision the people perish, and I NEED godly leadership to walk in my full destiny. I am covered by the Barak blessing that protects me even from imperfect authority while positioning me under anointed impartation.
The Father isn't asking you to be naive—He's offering you HIS discernment to recognize the leaders He's prepared who will celebrate you, not use you. He's running toward you with spiritual fathers and mothers who will pour out instead of taking, who've been interceding for the daughter they haven't met yet.
