"Christian girls want someone who's a worship leader or mission trip guy. I'm just regular."
How it sounds in your head: You hear about the guy who led worship at youth camp or went on a mission trip, and he's who everyone talks about. You go to church, you believe in God, but you're not THAT kid. You're just normal. That doesn't seem like enough.
"But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased."
-- 1 Corinthians 12:18Religion creating spiritual hierarchy and performance standards, making relationship readiness about ministry resume instead of identity in Christ.
You DO see certain kids get elevated in youth group, and the 'super spiritual' ones seem to get more respect. Your faith feels quiet and ordinary by comparison, like second-tier Christianity.
Joseph wasn't a priest, prophet, or temple leader—he was a CARPENTER. Just a regular guy doing regular work. But God chose HIM to be the earthly father of Jesus. His ordinary faithfulness was exactly what God wanted—no spotlight, no stage, just quiet obedience and character.
I REFUSE the lie that I need to be a spiritual superstar to be valuable or relationship-ready. IT IS WRITTEN that God set me in the body JUST AS HE PLEASED—my gifts and my role are EXACTLY what He designed. I don't need a ministry resume to be loved by God or chosen by the right person. IT IS WRITTEN that man looks at outward appearance, but God looks at the HEART. The BARAK blessing isn't activated by leading worship—it's activated by COVENANT through Jesus. Joseph was a regular carpenter and became the earthly father of the Messiah. My 'regular' faithfulness is EXACTLY what God calls EXTRAORDINARY. The Father isn't waiting for me to earn a spiritual badge—He's celebrating the son I already am.
The Father doesn't measure you by how loud your faith is or how many mission trips you've taken. He measures you by the CROSS, and by that measure, you are COMPLETELY righteous, FULLY qualified, and exactly who He designed you to be—ordinary faithfulness is HIS favorite kind.
