"Being single means I missed my one chance and God's best for my life."
How it sounds in your head: Maybe she was in college and you didn't notice. Maybe she was at that job thirty years ago and you were too focused on the career. You had one shot, and you blew it. Now you're living Plan B, God's leftovers.
"Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."
-- Philippians 1:6Religion: Teaches soulmate theology, makes God's will a narrow path easily missed, creates fear-based decision paralysis.
You remember women you dated, relationships that fizzled. Hindsight shows moments that might have been 'the one.' If God had one perfect plan and you missed it, then everything since is consolation prize, not abundant life.
Murdered a man at 40, fled Egypt, spent 40 YEARS tending sheep in Midian thinking his leadership days were over. At 80—when most men are dying—God appeared in a burning bush and said, 'NOW I'm sending you.' His 'missed opportunity' became his greatest calling.
I REFUSE the lie that I missed God's best or that my life is Plan B. IT IS WRITTEN: He who began a good work in me will complete it—God's plan is not fragile or derailed by time. I am NOT living leftovers, NOT stuck in second-best, NOT outside His will. IT IS WRITTEN: the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way. The BARAK blessing is mine NOW—I am blessed above only, not beneath. My best days are NOT behind me; God is doing a NEW thing, and it springs forth NOW.
The Father isn't shaking His head at missed opportunities—He's authoring a story where every chapter, including this one, works together for GOOD. He doesn't have Plan A and Plan B; He has ONE PLAN, and you're smack in the middle of it, covered by grace and headed for glory.
