"At my age, I should focus on spiritual riches, not material wealth. That's worldly."
How it sounds in your head: You're in your eighties. You should be thinking about heaven, not money. Wanting financial breakthrough at your age feels carnal, unspiritual. You should be past caring about earthly things. Contentment in poverty is the mature Christian position now.
"And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
-- Philippians 4:19Religion: False dichotomy between spiritual and material that contradicts 3 John 1:2 and the nature of the barak.
Every sermon on aging has emphasized 'storing up treasure in heaven' and 'this world is not our home.' Wanting earthly provision at eighty-five feels spiritually immature, like he missed the point of his whole Christian walk.
At exactly 85 years old, Caleb demanded his mountain inheritance—no retirement, no 'focus on spiritual things' speech. God gave him the strength to conquer giants and take the land. His age was his TESTIMONY, not his disqualification.
I REFUSE the lie that at my age, wanting provision is unspiritual. IT IS WRITTEN that God supplies ALL my need according to HIS RICHES—no age cap. Caleb took his mountain at 85. Abraham got Isaac at 100. IT IS WRITTEN that God wants me to prosper AND be healthy—both/and, not either/or. The barak blessing is COVENANT, not age-based. My Father cares about my earthly needs WHILE preparing my eternal home. I am spirit, soul, AND BODY—He blesses ALL of me. The prodigal got ROBE, RING, and FEAST—physical blessings celebrating spiritual position. My final years can be my RICHEST years.
Your Father sees you trying to spiritualize your poverty like it makes you more holy, and He's running toward you with BOTH the robe that confirms your spiritual position AND the ring that gives you material authority. While religion told you to choose one, He's prepared BOTH—because He's not just saving your soul, He's blessing your LIFE until the moment you see His face.
