"God gives wealth to people who can handle it—I'm not mature enough yet."
How it sounds in your head: You still struggle with porn. Your prayer life is inconsistent. You don't read the Bible enough. You waste time on games and social media. Surely God is waiting for you to get your act together before He blesses you financially. Wealth in immature hands is dangerous—you're not ready, and you know it.
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
-- Romans 5:8Religion makes blessing conditional on spiritual performance, negating grace through faith.
The Bible warns about the love of money and rich fools. You're literally still a teenager who makes dumb decisions daily. It seems biblically responsible for God to wait until you're more mature before trusting you with wealth.
The prodigal son blew his inheritance on prostitutes, lived with pigs, had zero character development before returning home. The father RAN to him, gave him the ring of authority, the robe of identity, sandals of sonship, and threw a party—all BEFORE any proving period. Full restoration in minutes.
I REFUSE the lie that I must mature before God blesses me. IT IS WRITTEN that God demonstrated His love while I was STILL a sinner—His blessing flows from His nature, not my maturity. The prodigal got full restoration before proving he changed. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed with EVERY spiritual blessing in Christ—not after I perform, but because I'm IN Him. The BARAK blessing protected Jacob the deceiver before he was transformed at Peniel. Blessing is POSITION, not PERFORMANCE. I receive God's financial blessing now as a son, and His blessing matures me—I don't mature to deserve His blessing. I am qualified by Jesus' blood alone.
Your Father doesn't withhold blessing until you're mature enough—He runs toward you with blessing that matures you. He gives you the family ring while you're still spiritually awkward because you're His son, not because you're polished.
