"At 85, my body's pain is just the natural consequence of living in a fallen world."
How it sounds in your head: Creation groans under the curse—Romans says so. My body is wearing out, entropy is real, and pain is the natural result of decades in a sin-cursed world. Expecting pain-free life at my age ignores the reality of the fall. Healing is for heaven, not earth.
"But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you."
-- Romans 8:11Enemy uses theology of the fall to make sickness seem like natural consequence rather than demonic attack, causing resignation to pain as 'just reality' rather than contending for covenant promises.
Romans 8 clearly says creation groans, and observable reality shows everything decays—buildings crumble, bodies age, systems fail. Scientifically, cellular breakdown is undeniable, and theologically, the fall brought death and decay into the world. Pain at 85 seems like simple biological fact, not spiritual warfare.
Moses was 120 years old when he died—far beyond 85—yet Scripture says 'his eyes were not dim nor his natural vigor diminished.' After 40 years in Pharaoh's palace, 40 years in the wilderness, and 40 years leading millions through the desert, his body showed NO natural decay. God's power sustained him in full strength until his final day, defying all 'natural consequences' of aging.
I REFUSE the lie that pain at 85 is just natural decay in a fallen world. IT IS WRITTEN: The Spirit who raised Christ from the dead gives LIFE to my mortal body RIGHT NOW through His Spirit in me. Creation groans, but I am a NEW creation with resurrection life flowing in my veins. Moses was 120 with undimmed eyes and undiminished strength—God's power defies natural decay. IT IS WRITTEN that God renews my youth like the eagle's and satisfies me with good things. Under the BARAK blessing of Abraham, who walked in strength and fathered children past 100, age doesn't determine my health—covenant does. I carry the same Spirit that rolled away the stone from Jesus' tomb, and that power gives LIFE to these 85-year-old bones.
The Father doesn't look at your birth year and agree with 'natural decline'—He looks at the resurrection power living inside you and says 'LIFE.' Like the prodigal's father who didn't say 'Well, after years in the pig pen, some damage is natural,' but fully restored him instantly, your Father offers full vitality regardless of how many years you've lived.
