"Anger and rage are just in my family's blood—I'll never be able to control it."

How it sounds in your head: Your dad had a temper. Your grandfather was violent. You've already punched holes in walls. It's who you are. You can try to control it but eventually it's going to come out. It's genetic. It's just how men in your family are wired.

IT IS WRITTEN Ezekiel 36:26

Enemy whispers: Anger is in your blood and you can't change it. BUT IT IS WRITTEN: Ezekiel 36:26 - I will give you a NEW heart and a NEW spirit. God didn't give you anger management techniques—He gave you a DIFFERENT HEART. The rage isn't 'in your blood'—it was in your OLD nature, and that nature is DEAD. You have Christ's heart now.

Total nature change. The murderous rage disappeared instantly—not through therapy or anger management, but through NEW CREATION.

I REFUSE the lie that rage is in my blood and I can't change. IT IS WRITTEN that God has given me a NEW heart and a NEW spirit—the heart of stone has been REMOVED. I don't have my earthly father's temperament anymore. I have my HEAVENLY Father's nature. IT IS WRITTEN that I am a NEW creation—old things, including rage patterns, have PASSED AWAY. The fruit of the Spirit is SELF-CONTROL, and that fruit grows automatically because I'm attached to the VINE. I don't work to produce it. I abide and it COMES. I am gentle because HE is gentle in me.

Your Father isn't disappointed when you struggle with anger—He's reminding you that you already HAVE a new heart, not one you're earning through behavior modification. He's not waiting for you to get your temper under control. He's already given you HIS temperament. You're learning to live from what's ALREADY true, not trying to become something you're not.
