"After this many betrayals, my heart is too broken to ever heal."
How it sounds in your head: I've buried friends, buried my spouse, been abandoned by my children, forgotten by church. There's no coming back from this much damage. Some hearts are just beyond repair.
"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh."
-- Ezekiel 36:26Enemy: Convinces you that accumulation of wounds equals permanent destruction, that even God can't heal what's been shattered this long.
The sheer volume of loss feels like evidence. Each new betrayal piled on old ones until the weight seems irreversible. Hope feels naive when pain is this layered.
Mephibosheth was crippled, hiding in fear, son of a traitor's house, convinced he was 'a dead dog.' David sought him OUT, restored EVERYTHING that belonged to his grandfather, and seated him at the king's table PERMANENTLY. Instant restoration of one who felt permanently broken.
I REFUSE the lie that my heart is too broken to heal. IT IS WRITTEN that God gives a NEW heart, removes the heart of stone, and makes it FLESH (Ezekiel 36:26). My Father doesn't renovate—He RESURRECTS. He makes ALL things new (Revelation 21:5). IT IS WRITTEN that He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). I am covered by the BARAK blessing that protected even murderers and liars. I declare: My brokenness is an invitation for His glory, not evidence of permanent damage. He is making ALL things new—including ME.
The Father sees your broken heart not as trash to discard but as treasure to restore. Like the Prodigal covered in pig filth was instantly robed in glory, YOUR brokenness is the very thing He wants to touch with resurrection power. He's not intimidated by decades of damage—He spoke creation into existence. Your healing is EASY for Him. He's been waiting to show you how SUDDEN breakthrough can be.
