"After a lifetime of providing, wanting more for myself now feels selfish and wrong."
How it sounds in your head: You spent your whole life as the provider. Now you're supposed to need provision? That feels backward. Real men give, they don't take. Wanting abundance for yourself at this stage is self-centered.
"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers."

Your entire identity was built on being the provider, the strong one. Decades of that identity make receiving feel like failure. Wanting for yourself feels like betraying who you've always been.
After his suffering, God gave Job TWICE as much as he had before—14,000 sheep, 6,000 camels, personal wealth for HIM. God restored Job's personal abundance instantly, not just his ability to provide for others.
I REFUSE the lie that wanting abundance for myself is selfish. IT IS WRITTEN that God wants me to prosper in ALL things. I am not just a provider—I am a BELOVED son, and my Father delights in prospering ME. The BARAK blessing means the LORD commands blessing on MY storehouses. A lifetime of giving doesn't disqualify me from receiving. IT IS WRITTEN that it is God's good pleasure to give me the kingdom. I receive without shame. I prosper without guilt. I am the righteousness of God in Christ, and He is RUNNING toward me with the ring, the robe, and the fattened calf for ME.
The Father sees the provider's heart you've carried for decades, and His response isn't 'Keep going until you die.' His response is 'Beloved son, come sit at MY table. Let ME fill YOUR cup. You've been My hand extended—now receive from My hand directly.'
