"You're too old now. Your time to be used by God has passed."
How it sounds in your head: You watch younger men lead, preach, build. Your body fails. Your mind slips. God needed you at 40, maybe 60, but not now. You're just waiting to die. Your legacy is set and it's too late to change anything.
"And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions."
-- Joel 2:28Enemy weapon using physical decline to erase eternal identity and God's timeless nature.
Every mirror, every medication bottle, every obituary of men younger than you screams it. The church asks younger men to serve while you sit in the back, invisible.
Moses was 80 years old when God STARTED his ministry to Pharaoh. His greatest work began when most men are dead. God said 'NOW I will send you' at the age when the world says you're finished.
I REFUSE the lie that my age disqualifies me from God's purposes. IT IS WRITTEN that old men shall dream dreams, and I receive fresh dreams from Heaven right now. My best days are not behind me because I am hidden in Christ, and He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. IT IS WRITTEN that Moses was 80 when his ministry STARTED, and Abraham was 100 when Isaac was born. The BARAK blessing of Abraham is mine by covenant, not by age. I am the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath, at 90 the same as at 40. My identity is in the Vine, and branches don't retire.
The Father is running toward you with fresh assignments, not a rocking chair. While the world sees decline, He sees a man who finally knows that apart from Him you can do nothing - which means you're finally READY for what He's had waiting.
