"You're too far gone in sin—God can't forgive this much."
How it sounds in your head: You've done things you're ashamed of, things you never told anyone. Secret sins, repeated failures, a lifetime of compromises. Surely there's a limit. Surely you've crossed it.
"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
-- 1 John 1:9Enemy lie that sin can outweigh grace and that God's forgiveness has limits or conditions.
You know what you've done, and it feels too big, too much, too often. Religion taught you that mercy runs out if you sin too much.
Manasseh was Israel's most evil king—he sacrificed his own children to demons, filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, and led the nation into abominations. When he cried out to God from prison, God heard him and RESTORED him to his kingdom.
I REFUSE the lie that I've sinned too much for God's forgiveness. IT IS WRITTEN that He is faithful to forgive ALL unrighteousness—not most of it, ALL of it. Where my sin increased, His grace increased MUCH MORE. IT IS WRITTEN that there is now NO condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. Manasseh sacrificed his own children and was forgiven. The thief on the cross had hours and got paradise. My sin is NOT bigger than Calvary. The blood of Jesus cleanses me from ALL sin. I am the righteousness of God in Christ, not by my record but by His blood.
The Father isn't measuring your sin—He's remembering His Son's blood. He forgave Manasseh who burned children alive; your failures don't even make Him hesitate. He's running toward you with total forgiveness.
