"Your voice doesn't matter. You're just a kid. Adults don't listen. Too young to change anything."
How it sounds in your head: I see problems in my family, my school, my church, but nobody takes me seriously when I speak up. They smile and nod and then ignore me. I'm supposed to be seen and not heard. By the time I'm old enough for my voice to count, it'll be too late to fix what's broken now. I'm just waiting for permission to matter.
"But the LORD said to me: 'Do not say, I am a youth, for you shall go to all to whom I send you, and whatever I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of their faces, for I am with you to deliver you,' says the LORD."
-- Jeremiah 1:7-8Enemy + ageist culture using youth to silence prophetic voice and calling.
He's been literally dismissed and silenced by adults who control every environment he's in. His ideas are treated as cute rather than valuable, and he has zero actual decision-making power in any institution.
Josiah became king at 8 YEARS OLD and 'did what was right in the sight of the LORD.' As a TEENAGER he launched a national spiritual reformation that tore down idols, restored the temple, and brought revival to Israel. A child king changed a nation's destiny.
I REFUSE the lie that my age silences my voice. IT IS WRITTEN that I should not say 'I am a youth' when God sends me to speak. God does not wait for my 18th birthday to use my voice for His purposes. Josiah reformed a NATION as a teenager. IT IS WRITTEN out of the mouth of babes God has ordained strength. I am not waiting for permission to matter—I matter NOW because God says so. I am Abraham's seed, and the BARAK is on my words, my influence, my impact. I speak life, truth, and hope, and the Kingdom advances through me TODAY, not someday.
The Father doesn't patronize you—He COMMISSIONS you. He looks at you the way He looked at young Jeremiah: 'I knew you before you were born, I set you apart, I appointed you as a prophet to NATIONS.' Your voice matters because HIS voice flows through it.
