"Your prayers hit the ceiling. God hears the younger guys, the worship leaders, the guys with better track records."
How it sounds in your head: Their prayers get answered. Their faith produces fruit. You've prayed the same thing for years and crickets. Maybe God's tired of hearing from you. Maybe you've used up your quota. Maybe your sins disqualified you.
"Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need."
-- Hebrews 4:16Enemy lie attacking prayer authority by suggesting God's access is earned by performance rather than given by blood.
You've prayed for that situation for five years—no change. The new guy prayed once and got a testimony. You watched God move powerfully for others while your requests seem stuck in voicemail. The math suggests God's not listening to you.
Criminal, no good works, no baptism, no church attendance, dying for his crimes—prayed ONE prayer: 'Remember me.' Jesus responded IMMEDIATELY: 'TODAY you will be with Me in Paradise.' Instant access with zero track record.
I REFUSE the lie that my prayers hit the ceiling. IT IS WRITTEN that I can come BOLDLY to the throne of grace—not timidly, not disqualified, but BOLD. My access is through Jesus' blood, not my track record. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed coming in and going out—the Barak blessing means my prayers carry Heaven's authority. The thief on the cross had ONE prayer answered INSTANTLY with zero credentials. Abraham lied and God still defended him. Jacob deceived and still received blessing. My access to the Father is NOT based on my performance but on Christ's finished work. I come BOLDLY. I am HEARD. My prayers shake Heaven.
The Father doesn't rank prayers by the righteousness of the one praying—He hears based on the righteousness of the One who GAVE you access. Your prayer has the same weight as Paul's because you both come through the SAME blood.
