"Your occult past disqualifies you from spiritual authority and ministry."
How it sounds in your head: You can't lead. You can't pray for others. You can't step into authority. Not with your past. Other people, sure—they can be used by God. But you? You went too far. You were too deep. You're disqualified. Stay in the back. Keep quiet. Don't presume authority you forfeited.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."
-- 2 Corinthians 5:17Religious gatekeeping that measures authority by past purity instead of present position in Christ.
He feels the call to lead, to minister, to step up—but the shame of his occult past screams that he's disqualified. He looks at other men leading and thinks, 'They don't have what I have in my past.' The enemy uses comparison to keep him silent and small.
Paul was a blasphemer, persecutor, and violent man who dragged Christians to prison and stood approving while Stephen was stoned. Jesus appeared to him, saved him, and IMMEDIATELY called him to be an apostle—not after a waiting period, not after proving himself, but INSTANTLY given authority to preach to Gentiles and kings.
I REFUSE the lie that my occult past disqualifies me from spiritual authority. IT IS WRITTEN that I am a NEW CREATION—old things have PASSED AWAY. My authority is not based on my history; it's based on HIS blood. I don't minister because I was clean; I minister because I am CLEANSED. IT IS WRITTEN that I am seated with Christ in heavenly places—PRESENT TENSE, RIGHT NOW. The enemy has NO authority to silence what the KING has commissioned. I step into authority not because I earned it but because it was GIVEN—by GRACE.
The Father didn't make you wait in the penalty box for a decade to prove you're reformed—He put the ring of authority on your finger while you still smelled like the occult. Your calling was activated by His choice, not your cleanliness.
