"Your intensity and passion are too much. You need to calm down and be normal."
How it sounds in your head: Teachers say you're too intense. Friends tell you to chill. Even your parents seem embarrassed by your passion for things. Your energy exhausts people. You're 'a lot' and it pushes people away.
"So the watchman reported, saying, 'He went up to them and is not coming back; and the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi, for he drives furiously!'"
-- 2 Kings 9:20Religious spirit that demands conformity and fears the wildness God put in His warrior sons.
You've been told to 'tone it down' your whole life. People roll their eyes at your enthusiasm. You've learned to suppress yourself just to fit in, proving your intensity is a social liability.
Jehu was so intense that people could identify him by how furiously he drove chariots from a distance. God didn't tell him to tone it down - He anointed him king and used that intensity to destroy an entire evil dynasty in one day.
I REFUSE the lie that my passion and intensity are too much or need suppressing. IT IS WRITTEN: Jehu drove furiously and God made him KING (2 Kings 9:20). My intensity is God's design, not a disorder. Whatever my hand finds to do, I do with ALL my might (Ecclesiastes 9:10). IT IS WRITTEN: The BARAK blessing is on my energy and passion - I am blessed coming in and going out (Deuteronomy 28:6). I don't apologize for the fire God put in me. I am EXACTLY the intensity God intended.
Your Father is RUNNING to you saying 'I didn't make you intense by accident - I need warriors with YOUR fire.' He's placing the ring of authority on your intensity, commissioning it for kingdom breakthrough, not asking you to suffocate it to make religious people comfortable.
