"We've been broken too long—God gives up on chronic failures."
How it sounds in your head: How many times can we fail at the same issues? Surely God's patience has run out. We've had fifty years to get this right and we keep falling into the same patterns.
"Through the LORD's mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness."
-- Lamentations 3:22-23Religious lie that God's grace has a quota and His mercies have a limit.
The same arguments, the same wounds, decade after decade. She's exhausted by her own inability to change and fears God is too.
Israel rebelled REPEATEDLY—golden calf, grumbling, unbelief. God didn't abandon them; He gave them bread EVERY MORNING for forty years. Fresh manna, fresh mercy, every single day despite chronic rebellion.
I REFUSE the lie that God gives up on repeat offenders. IT IS WRITTEN that His compassions NEVER fail and are new EVERY MORNING. IT IS WRITTEN that where sin abounds, grace super-abounds. My failures don't diminish His fountains of mercy. I am under the BARAK blessing that protected Abraham even when he LIED TWICE. God's faithfulness is great, not because I am consistent, but because HE IS. I declare fresh starts, fresh mercies, fresh breakthroughs over this marriage TODAY. Chronic patterns bow to the God of new beginnings.
The Father isn't counting your failures—He's pouring out new compassions this very morning like the manna that fell regardless of yesterday's grumbling. Your slate is clean RIGHT NOW.
