"Wars and disasters prove God has given up on this generation."
How it sounds in your head: The wars, the hurricanes, the earthquakes, the fires—it's God's judgment. He's done with us. He's pulling back, letting us destroy ourselves. Why would He bless me or answer my prayers when He's clearly judging the nation?
"Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness."
-- Lamentations 3:22-23Religion taught you that disaster equals God's anger, making you an Old Covenant Israelite instead of a New Covenant son.
You've read the Old Testament—God DID judge nations with disaster. The news feels like Revelation unfolding, and preachers say God is removing His hand of protection. It seems arrogant to expect blessing when the nation is under judgment.
God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah with fire, but RESCUED Lot first—angels literally grabbed his hand and RAN him out. Even in national judgment, God PROTECTED the righteous and wouldn't destroy the city until Lot was SAFE.
I REFUSE the lie that disasters mean God has abandoned this generation. IT IS WRITTEN that His mercies are new EVERY MORNING, His compassions FAIL NOT. I am not under wrath—I am under GRACE. Jesus took the judgment I deserved at the cross. Like Lot, even when fire falls on nations, God RESCUES His own. IT IS WRITTEN: no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and God commands His angels concerning me. The BARAK protects me in war, famine, and plague—it protected Israel through 400 years of slavery and the 10 plagues that destroyed Egypt but never touched Goshen. I am in the GOSHEN of the New Covenant. I am blessed, protected, and FAVORED even when the world shakes.
The Father is running toward you with PROTECTION, not punishment. He's not angry at you; He's angry at what's trying to HURT you. His plan is RESCUE, not wrath—always has been, always will be.
