"Waiting means God isn't ready to bless me yet. I must not be prepared enough."
How it sounds in your head: Maybe I'm not spiritually mature enough for the breakthrough. God must be waiting for me to get to a certain level before He can trust me with what I'm asking for. The delay must mean I'm not ready.
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ."
-- Ephesians 1:3Religion makes blessing conditional on spiritual maturity, twisting grace into grades and turning waiting into evidence of personal deficiency rather than divine orchestration.
Church culture often frames blessing as reward for spiritual growth, making delay feel like a report card showing she hasn't passed the test. The message 'God is preparing you' sounds like 'you're not good enough yet.'
The thief had no time to mature, no Bible studies, no service record, no spiritual disciplines. He was a criminal dying for his crimes. He said one sentence—'Lord, remember me'—and Jesus IMMEDIATELY responded 'TODAY you will be with Me in Paradise.' Instant salvation with zero preparation.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm not prepared enough for God's blessing. IT IS WRITTEN that God HAS BLESSED me with EVERY spiritual blessing in Christ—past tense, already done. I don't have to mature into blessing; I'm ALREADY blessed because I'm in Him. IT IS WRITTEN that He made me accepted in the Beloved. The BARAK blessing flows through me as Abraham's seed regardless of my spiritual maturity level. I am not waiting to be ready—I AM ready because I'm IN CHRIST.
Your Father didn't put your blessing in escrow until you reach a certain spiritual credit score. Like the thief on the cross who went from criminal to Paradise in one sentence, you're not disqualified by immaturity—you're qualified by being IN CHRIST, and that makes you ready RIGHT NOW.
