"Unanswered prayer means I'm outside God's will for my life"
How it sounds in your head: Maybe I missed God's plan somewhere along the way. This situation wouldn't exist if I was where I'm supposed to be. The silence is proof I'm off track.
"The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way; though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the Lord upholds his hand."
-- Psalm 37:23-24Religion creates anxiety about missing a narrow divine path, teaching that circumstances reflect whether you found the hidden plan.
Her life doesn't match what she envisioned, and the lack of breakthrough feels like evidence she made wrong turns that disqualified her from God's best.
Jonah deliberately disobeyed, ran the opposite direction, caused a storm, got thrown overboard, swallowed by a fish. Yet God redirected him and he STILL fulfilled the assignment—saving an entire city despite his rebellion.
I REFUSE the lie that unanswered prayer means I'm outside God's will. IT IS WRITTEN: the Lord establishes my steps, and even when I fall, He upholds my hand. I cannot miss God's plan through wrong turns. IT IS WRITTEN: God works ALL things together for good—not just my perfect decisions. Jonah ran the opposite way and still fulfilled God's purpose. I am Abraham's seed under the BARAK blessing that followed Isaac even when he LIED like his father. I declare: I am IN God's will because I'm IN Christ. My circumstances don't determine my position. God is working even in what looks like detours.
The Father isn't leaving you outside His will because of past decisions. He's directing your steps like He redirected Jonah from a fish's belly—working ALL things together, even your perceived mistakes, into His good plan for you.
