"True Christians can't have demons, so either I'm not saved or Christianity is fake."
How it sounds in your head: If I'm really saved, why do I struggle with these dark thoughts and feelings? Either I was never truly saved, or this whole Christianity thing is a lie and can't actually help me.
"And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand."
-- John 10:28Religious false dichotomy creates theological crisis that denies both grace and the reality of spiritual warfare, forcing him to question salvation itself.
Church taught him that salvation fixes everything instantly, so ongoing struggles must mean something is fundamentally wrong with his salvation or with Christianity itself.
Peter declared Jesus as Messiah, received revelation from the Father, then IMMEDIATELY spoke Satan's words trying to prevent the cross. Jesus addressed the demonic influence ('Get behind Me, Satan') but never questioned Peter's salvation - same conversation, same person.
I REFUSE the lie that struggles disqualify my salvation. IT IS WRITTEN that I shall NEVER perish and NO ONE can snatch me from His hand. My security is in HIS grip, not my perfect performance. IT IS WRITTEN that NOTHING separates me from His love - not demons, not intrusive thoughts, not mental health battles. Peter spoke Satan's words and remained Jesus' disciple. The BARAK blessing isn't canceled by struggles. I am sealed by the Holy Spirit, marked as God's possession.
Your Father isn't questioning your salvation because of struggles - He's running toward you reminding you that His GRIP determines your security, not your ability to feel peaceful. Even when Peter spoke Satan's words, Jesus never questioned his place among the twelve.
