"This exhaustion is God's way of slowing me down and preparing me to die."
How it sounds in your head: The fatigue is a sign. God is shutting down your systems, preparing you for the transition. The weariness is His gentle way of easing you toward the end. You're supposed to surrender to the decline - it's all part of His plan to take you home soon.
"I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD."
-- Psalm 118:17Enemy twisting natural aging into a narrative that God authors decline and orchestrates suffering as preparation.
The exhaustion coincides with your advancing years, and well-meaning believers speak of 'God's timing' and 'natural transitions' as if He's actively draining your life force. Hospice language reinforces that this is the expected trajectory.
God sent word through Isaiah that Hezekiah should set his house in order because he would die. Hezekiah wept and prayed, and before Isaiah left the courtyard, God REVERSED the decree and added fifteen years. What seemed like 'God's timing' was actually an opportunity for intercession and miraculous extension.
I REFUSE the lie that God authors my exhaustion as preparation for death. IT IS WRITTEN that I shall not die but LIVE and declare the works of the LORD. Jesus came to give abundant LIFE, not orchestrate decline. The enemy is the thief who comes to steal vitality; my Father gives power to the faint and increases strength to those who have no might. IT IS WRITTEN that by His stripes I AM healed - present tense reality, not future hope. I am a son under the BARAK blessing where the LORD commands blessing on my life and length of days. I receive supernatural energy as covenant inheritance RIGHT NOW.
The Father isn't slowly turning down your life's dimmer switch. He's the God who added fifteen years to Hezekiah, who kept Moses' eyes undimmed at 120, who made Sarah strong enough to birth Isaac at 90. He's running toward you with LIFE in His hands, not a gentle pillow to ease you into death.
