"They have better jobs, girlfriends, and lives because God favors them more than me."
How it sounds in your head: You pray, they prosper. You work hard, they get promoted. You're single, they're engaged to someone perfect. Maybe God just likes some people more. Maybe you're not one of His favorites. Maybe you did something that put you on the B-list.
"For there is no partiality with God."
-- Romans 2:11Enemy's lie that God plays favorites based on merit, combined with Old Covenant thinking that blessing equals behavior.
You see guys who barely try landing dream jobs while you grind and get nowhere. Your friend who partied through college has a better career than you. It feels like a rigged game where some people just get lucky and you're not one of them.
Mephibosheth was crippled, hiding in obscurity, living in poverty in a forgotten town. David searched for him and INSTANTLY restored him to eat at the king's table for life - not because of anything Mephibosheth did, but because of covenant with his grandfather Jonathan.
I REFUSE the lie that God favors others more than me. IT IS WRITTEN that there is no partiality with God - He doesn't love them more or bless them faster based on merit. I am loved with the SAME love the Father has for Jesus. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed with ALL spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. Their engagement doesn't diminish my favor. Their promotion doesn't reduce my inheritance. I stand in the BARAK covenant that protected liars, deceivers, and murderers because it's based on PROMISE not performance. My suddenly is coming.
The Father isn't giving out blessings based on a merit system where you're ranked lower. He's running toward you with the SAME robe, ring, and feast He'd give anyone - because His generosity is based on HIS nature, not your ranking.
