"They eat out all the time and we only go for special occasions."
How it sounds in your head: I hear about them going to restaurants like it's nothing and we maybe go once a month if that. When they ask where I want to eat I feel dumb because we don't just go out. God gives them fun and gives us leftovers.
"You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over."
-- Psalm 23:5Enemy using frequency of treats to measure love and provision, creating poverty mindset through comparison.
She hears the stories regularly—multiple restaurant trips while her family eats at home. The repetition makes the difference feel huge and the pattern feel permanent, like her family is stuck in lack while others enjoy abundance.
During a famine when everyone was starving, God commanded RAVENS to bring Elijah bread and meat twice a day every single day. Supernatural provision showing up on schedule from impossible sources—God fed him better than anyone else was eating during the drought.
I REFUSE the lie that restaurant trips measure God's provision or that my family gets leftovers while others get abundance. IT IS WRITTEN that God prepares a table before me and my cup runs over—overflow, not lack. I am Abraham's seed and the BARAK blessing commands provision on everything I set my hand to, including meals. IT IS WRITTEN in Deuteronomy 28:5 that my basket and my kneading bowl are blessed. God can make a home-cooked meal more satisfying than any restaurant and can bring provision from ravens if He wants to—His supply isn't limited by how often we eat out.
The Father isn't counting restaurant trips as a measure of His love for you—He's preparing a TABLE for you, a FEAST, and sometimes His greatest provision comes through a parent's cooking not a drive-through window. He's running toward you with abundance that looks different than what you're comparing it to.
