"The youth don't want to hear from me or learn what I have to teach."
How it sounds in your head: You've tried to connect and they stare at their phones. You offer advice and they nod politely, then ignore it. They have their own influencers, podcasts, online gurus. Why would they listen to you when they have millions of voices at their fingertips? You're not interesting or relevant to them.
"And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse."
-- Malachi 4:6Enemy's discouragement + cultural fragmentation designed to break the generational transfer that would accelerate breakthrough.
You see teenagers' eyes glaze over when you talk. They seem to prefer strangers on YouTube over wisdom from people who actually love them. They're on their phones during family dinners. Every attempt at connection feels like pulling teeth.
Young Samuel didn't recognize God's voice and kept running to old Eli, confused. Eli—despite his own failures—recognized what was happening and taught Samuel how to respond to God's call. That one conversation positioned Samuel to become the prophet who anointed kings.
I REFUSE the lie that the next generation doesn't need what I carry or that I'm irrelevant to their journey. IT IS WRITTEN that God will turn the hearts of children to fathers and fathers to children—this is PROPHETIC PROMISE, not wishful thinking. The BARAK blessing flows generationally; my responsibility is to POUR OUT, not to control the reception. IT IS WRITTEN that the things I've learned and seen, I am to teach to the next generation so they won't forget God's works. I will not be discouraged by distraction or silence—I keep showing up, keep speaking truth, keep offering the mantle. Holy Spirit is turning hearts even when I can't see it.
The Father isn't allowing your wisdom to be wasted—He's orchestrating moments of transfer that will hit at exactly the right time. That teenager who seems uninterested is absorbing more than you know, and seeds planted NOW will bear fruit LATER. Keep pouring.
