"The pastor who buried my friends is a fraud—I watched him destroy families while preaching Jesus."
How it sounds in your head: He stood at my wife's casket and quoted Scripture, then I found out he was sleeping with his secretary. He married my kids, buried my siblings, all while living a double life. If he's fake, maybe it's all fake.
"The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat. Therefore whatever they tell you to observe, that observe and do, but do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do."
-- Matthew 23:2-3Enemy conflating the MESSENGER's failure with the MESSAGE's truth, making human hypocrisy evidence against divine reality.
He's buried eight people this man loved while concealing sin. The cognitive dissonance is unbearable—how can sacred moments be real if the officiant was a fraud? Decades of trust feel like decades of deception.
Balaam was a corrupt prophet who loved money and led Israel into sin, yet God put TRUE PROPHECY in his mouth that blesses Israel to this day. The prophecy was real even though the prophet was compromised.
I REFUSE the lie that a false shepherd invalidates the True Shepherd. IT IS WRITTEN that hypocrites can speak truth—the WORD is sharper than any two-edged sword regardless of whose lips it crosses. My wife's salvation wasn't secured by that pastor's integrity; it was secured by CHRIST'S FINISHED WORK. I will not let a man's failure steal what GOD ESTABLISHED. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed because of COVENANT, not because of clean clergy. The BARAK protected liars and deceivers, and it protects me from being destroyed by their lies and deceptions. Jesus is still Lord even when leaders fall.
Father weeps WITH you over shepherds who wounded sheep, but His arms are still open to you—the REAL Shepherd never left, never lied, never failed you even once. Every sacred moment you experienced was REAL because HE is real, regardless of who was standing at the pulpit.
