"The miscarriage happened because I did something wrong"
How it sounds in your head: You replay every decision—that workout, that stressful work week, that argument. Maybe if you'd been more careful, prayed more, been more faithful. The guilt is crushing and you can't shake the feeling it's your fault.
"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus"
-- Romans 8:1Religious spirit assigning blame, making tragedy about hidden sin rather than fallen world reality.
The need to find a reason for suffering makes self-blame feel logical—if you caused it, at least there's an explanation. Religious voices suggest hidden sin or insufficient faith, turning grief into guilt.
David's infant son died despite David's desperate fasting and pleading—not because David didn't pray enough, but as consequence of broken world. Yet David declared 'I shall go to him' with confidence of reunion, and God immediately gave them Solomon who became the wisest, richest king.
I REFUSE the lie that miscarriage is punishment for my failures. IT IS WRITTEN that there is NO CONDEMNATION in Christ Jesus—not some, not hidden, ZERO. I reject guilt that was nailed to the cross. This loss happened in a fallen world where the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy—NOT because of something I did or didn't do. IT IS WRITTEN that neither this man nor his parents sinned—tragedy isn't always about fault. I receive the Father's comfort without the poison of false guilt. I am NOT being punished; I am LOVED and held in grief.
The Father isn't angry at you for the miscarriage—He's weeping WITH you, holding you in the loss, and already planning the redemption of this pain. He sees you like the Prodigal, running toward you with comfort, not standing back with accusations.
