"Successful people just have something I don't. I'm missing the 'it' factor that makes someone truly capable."
How it sounds in your head: You've watched people who seem to command rooms naturally, make decisions confidently, and you think 'They have something I don't.' You believe there's an invisible quality you lack that would make you legitimate, and without it you're just pretending.
"To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory."
-- Colossians 1:27Enemy lie that God distributes essential value unevenly, denying that Christ IN YOU is the only 'it' factor that matters.
You see confident people and assume their confidence comes from something internal you don't possess. You've internalized the world's lie that some people are 'born for this' and you're not one of them.
Shamgar gets ONE VERSE in Scripture—he wasn't a trained warrior, had no army, no sword, just an ox goad (a farming tool). Yet he struck down 600 Philistines with it and saved Israel. He didn't have what warriors 'should' have, but he had God's anointing, and that was more than enough.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm missing some essential quality others possess. IT IS WRITTEN that Christ IN ME is the hope of glory—I have the ultimate 'it' factor living inside me. I have been given EVERYTHING pertaining to life and godliness through knowing Him. IT IS WRITTEN that God chose the foolish things to shame the wise and the weak things to shame the strong (1 Cor 1:27). What I perceive as lack is actually God's strategy to showcase HIS power, not my natural charisma. I am not missing anything—I am FILLED with the fullness of God (Eph 3:19).
The Father isn't withholding some secret ingredient from you—He's already given you His SPIRIT, which is more than every natural gift combined. The confidence you see in others is often a mask; the confidence He's building in you is rooted in His unshakeable presence, and that's the only 'it' factor that matters eternally.
