"Real provision comes through career climbing and raises—God works through human systems."
How it sounds in your head: Supernatural provision sounds nice but unrealistic. God gave me skills and a job—provision comes through promotions, performance reviews, and climbing the ladder. If I want more, I need to work harder and move up.
"Then he said, 'Go, borrow vessels from everywhere, from all your neighbors—empty vessels; do not gather just a few. And when you come in, you shall shut the door behind you and your sons; then pour it into all those vessels, and set aside the full ones.' So she went from him and shut the door behind her and her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured it out. Now it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, 'Bring me another vessel.' And he said to her, 'There is not another vessel.' So the oil ceased. Then she went and told the man of God. And he said, 'Go, sell the oil and pay your debt; and you and your sons live on the rest.'"
-- 2 Kings 4:3-7Source: Practical atheism dressed as stewardship—believing God only works through natural systems and human hierarchies rather than supernatural intervention.
Every dollar in his account came from a paycheck earned through work. He's never seen money appear supernaturally, but he HAS seen raises come from hard work. It seems foolish to expect provision outside the system.
She had no career, no income, no system providing for her—yet Jesus said she gave more than all the rich people. God's economy doesn't operate through human hierarchies; she was seen and valued outside the system.
I REFUSE the lie that provision is limited to paychecks and promotions. IT IS WRITTEN: The LORD commands blessing on my storehouses—blessing comes by DECREE not degrees. The widow's oil multiplied supernaturally, debt canceled in an afternoon—God's provision doesn't require climbing ladders. IT IS WRITTEN: My God shall supply ALL my need according to HIS riches in glory—not according to my boss's budget or company structure. The BARAK blessing flows to me through covenant, not corporation. I receive from heaven's supply, I expect supernatural provision, I am not limited to human systems.
The Father isn't waiting for your boss to approve the raise—He's already filled the storehouses with oil that multiplies beyond what containers can hold. He loves providing in ways that bypass the system entirely so you KNOW it was Him.
