"People only tolerate me out of obligation—I'm a burden now."
How it sounds in your head: You see the look when you need help again. The sigh. The forced smile. They're doing their duty, not delighting in you. You're the project, the responsibility, the weight they carry.
"The Lord your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing."
-- Zephaniah 3:17Enemy accusation exploiting caregiving fatigue to isolate and shame you.
You do need more help. Caregivers do get tired. You see the strain on their faces when you ask for assistance again.
Crippled in both feet, hiding in obscurity, expecting nothing. King David sought him out, restored ALL his grandfather's land, and said 'You'll eat at my table ALWAYS like one of my sons.' Not charity—FAMILY. Permanent place at the king's table despite disability.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm merely tolerated. IT IS WRITTEN that God REJOICES over me with singing—I am His delight, not His burden. The BARAK blessing means I eat at the King's table like Mephibosheth—not as charity but as FAMILY. IT IS WRITTEN nothing can separate me from His love—not age, not limitations, not dependence. I am wanted, cherished, and celebrated. God doesn't sigh when I come to Him.
The Father didn't run to the prodigal out of obligation—He RAN because that's what love does. Right now He's not counting what you need; He's delighting that you're His. You're not His project—you're His treasure.
