"Only rich people can afford to retire comfortably and that's not me"
How it sounds in your head: Everyone who retires comfortably seems to have always been wealthy or had high-paying jobs. My family isn't rich, I'm not from that world, so comfortable retirement feels like something for other people, not regular people like me.
"And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day."
-- Deuteronomy 8:18World system: Creates class limitations that deny Kingdom reality where God is no respecter of persons and supplies according to HIS riches
She sees media portrayal of wealthy retirees living comfortably while regular people struggle. Her own family's financial stress makes wealth feel like a different universe she doesn't have access to.
David was the youngest son, forgotten in the field watching sheep while his brothers were presented to the prophet. From that overlooked position, God anointed him king and he died one of the wealthiest men in history.
I REFUSE the lie that comfortable retirement is only for people from wealthy backgrounds. IT IS WRITTEN that GOD gives power to get wealth to establish HIS covenant—not my family's financial history, but His covenant promise. I am Abraham's seed through Christ, which means the BARAK blessing operates in my life regardless of where I started. IT IS WRITTEN that God shows no partiality—He doesn't reserve provision for certain classes. My background doesn't determine my future; my COVENANT does. I will retire comfortably because my Father supplies according to HIS riches in glory, not according to my family's bank account.
Your Father doesn't look at your family's tax bracket and decide your retirement future. He's running toward you with the same covenant that took Abraham from Ur to immense wealth—background irrelevant, covenant everything.
