"No one listens to me anymore. My voice and opinions don't matter to anyone."
How it sounds in your head: I speak up in conversations and people talk over me. My adult children make decisions without asking what I think. Friends interrupt or change the subject. The world has moved on, and my perspective is outdated and unwanted.
"She opens her mouth with wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness."
-- Proverbs 31:26Enemy whisper exploiting ageism and culture's dismissal of elderly wisdom, especially from women.
She's been interrupted repeatedly, her advice ignored, her contributions dismissed with 'times have changed' comments. Younger generations seem impatient with her stories and uninterested in her experience.
Deborah was a female judge in a patriarchal culture—every reason to be dismissed and ignored. Yet all Israel came to HER for judgment, military leaders sought HER counsel, and an entire nation was delivered because people listened to a woman's voice that carried God's authority.
I REFUSE the lie that my voice doesn't matter or that my wisdom is outdated. IT IS WRITTEN that I open my mouth with wisdom and on my tongue is the law of kindness—God gave me a voice that carries WEIGHT in the heavenly realms. When people dismiss me, Heaven LEANS IN. IT IS WRITTEN that gray hair is a crown of glory, gained in a righteous life. My decades of experience are not irrelevance—they are ARSENAL. The BARAK blessing is on my words—they will accomplish what God sends them to do. I speak with the authority of one who has walked with the King for decades.
The Father is running toward you with a microphone, not a muzzle. He's whispering, 'I've been preparing your voice for seven decades for such a time as this—your Deborah season is NOW, and nations need what I've deposited in you.'
