"No income is coming because I'm being punished for not trusting God earlier."
How it sounds in your head: I worried so much over the years, carried anxiety instead of faith. This financial drought is God teaching me a lesson about trust. If I had just believed more, this wouldn't be happening.
"He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?"
-- Romans 8:32Religious punishment theology teaching God uses lack to discipline.
She remembers decades of anxiety about money and now the lack feels like direct consequence. Sermons about 'trusting God' feel like indictments.
Peter walked on water, then DOUBTED and sank. Jesus didn't let him drown to 'teach him faith'—He IMMEDIATELY reached out and caught him. Rescue was instant, not a lesson in trust through suffering.
I REFUSE the lie that lack is punishment for imperfect faith. IT IS WRITTEN that God freely gives all things to those He gave His Son for—and He gave Jesus when I was STILL A SINNER. My provision isn't earned by anxiety-free living; it's MINE by covenant. The BARAK blessing isn't behavior-based; it covered liars and deceivers. IT IS WRITTEN there is NO CONDEMNATION for those in Christ. God isn't using poverty to teach me trust; He's using the CROSS to show me I'm already loved. Breakthrough comes from His NATURE, not my perfect faith. I receive FREELY.
The Father isn't teaching you faith through financial struggle—He's inviting you to see He ALREADY PROVIDED everything at the cross. Like Peter sinking on the water, Jesus doesn't let you drown to learn a lesson; He reaches out IMMEDIATELY because rescue is His nature, not a reward for perfect trust.
