"My task-oriented focus made me miss relationships—people-oriented personalities connect better."
How it sounds in your head: I was always focused on getting things done. The project, the job, the task—I missed the people right in front of me. Others naturally connected while I stayed in my head, working. I chose tasks over people.
"And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men."
-- Colossians 3:23Relational hierarchy teaching that people always matter more than tasks, ignoring that God Himself is task-oriented in creation, redemption, and commissioning, and values both relationships and accomplishment.
He looks back at time spent working instead of talking, fixing instead of feeling, doing instead of connecting. He fears he missed his family's hearts while accomplishing things that don't matter now.
God filled Bezalel with His Spirit specifically for TASK-ORIENTED WORK—craftsmanship, design, building the tabernacle. God celebrated his task-focus by anointing it, and through his work, millions encountered God's presence for generations.
I REFUSE the lie that task-orientation missed relationships. IT IS WRITTEN that whatever I do, I do as to the Lord—my work was worship and love expressed tangibly. I provided through tasks. I secured through building. I loved through doing. The BARAK blessing of Abraham made me the head and not the tail, blessed my hands' work—tasks done unto God ARE relational expressions. IT IS WRITTEN that God anointed Bezalel for task-oriented craftsmanship—I'm wired like him. I am the righteousness of God in Christ, and my work-focus provided the stability my family needed.
Father is running toward you saying, 'Every task you completed unto Me WAS relationship—with Me and with those you provided for.' He's celebrating that your hands built security, provision, and legacy that loved your family in deeds.
