"My success isn't real. I've just been good at hiding my incompetence so far."
How it sounds in your head: You've managed to fake your way through, but eventually someone will ask a question you can't answer. Eventually someone will see through the act. The success is a house of cards.
"But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption."
-- 1 Corinthians 1:30Enemy accusation combined with perfectionism and performance-based identity.
You know the gaps in your knowledge, the questions you couldn't answer, the times you nodded along hoping no one would ask you to elaborate. Success feels like a tightrope walk where one slip exposes everything.
Told God 'I can't speak well, I'm slow of speech' and God said 'WHO MADE YOUR MOUTH? I will teach you what to say.' Moses led a nation with God's wisdom, not his eloquence.
I REFUSE the lie that my success is fake and I'm hiding incompetence. IT IS WRITTEN: Christ became for me WISDOM from God—my competence comes from CONNECTION, not performance. I am a branch attached to the Vine, and apart from Him I can do nothing, but IN HIM fruit is automatic. IT IS WRITTEN: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. God doesn't need my perfection—He supplies His wisdom. Moses couldn't speak well but God gave him words. I don't fake it—I draw from the SOURCE, and His wisdom flows through me as I abide.
The Father doesn't expect you to have all the answers independently—He IS the answer, and you're connected to Him. Like a branch doesn't 'fake' producing fruit, you're not faking success—you're bearing fruit because you're attached to Jesus, the true Vine.
