"My season of favor is over. God blessed me before, but not anymore."
How it sounds in your head: You had your chance. You had good jobs, good seasons. Maybe that was your allotment and now it's someone else's turn. You're past your prime. The blessing was for then, not now.
"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever."
-- Hebrews 13:8Enemy: lying about covenant as temporary favor instead of permanent position, making blessing about seasons instead of identity.
You can point to better times in the past. Current reality looks nothing like previous provision. The contrast feels like evidence that your 'turn' is over.
Caleb was 85 years old and declared 'I am as strong today as I was forty years ago. Give me this mountain!' No expiration on his strength, favor, or assignment. He took the mountain at 85 that he couldn't take at 45.
I REFUSE the lie that my season of favor is over. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus Christ is the SAME yesterday, today, and forever - His blessing on me doesn't expire. I am not living on past favor - I AM FAVORED NOW. IT IS WRITTEN that His gifts and calling are IRREVOCABLE, that He changes NOT. The BARAK that blessed me before blesses me NOW because it's based on HIS NATURE, not my age or circumstances. Like Caleb at 85, I am as strong NOW as ever, and my greatest mountain is still ahead. This is not my 'was' - this is my NOW and my NEXT.
Your Father hasn't moved on to someone else. He's not done with you. He's the same Father who blessed you then, and He's blessing you NOW - the delay you see is setup for suddenly, not evidence of demotion.
