"My practical, task-oriented nature means I lack depth, spirituality, and true connection with God."
How it sounds in your head: I'm a doer—lists, tasks, projects. I don't naturally sit and 'soak' in worship for hours. I feel God most when I'm serving, working, building. But I've been told true spirituality is contemplative, still, mystical. Maybe I'm just too surface-level, too Martha, not enough Mary.
"And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men."
-- Colossians 3:23Contemplative movements elevate passive spirituality, making active service seem shallow or lesser.
She's watched the 'Mary' types get honored while 'Marthas' are gently corrected. Every teaching on 'being versus doing' makes her wiring feel spiritually inferior.
God filled Bezalel with His Spirit not for prophecy or worship leading but for CRAFTSMANSHIP—cutting stones, working metal, building the tabernacle. God's presence didn't come despite his practical work; it came THROUGH it.
I REFUSE the lie that doing is less than being. IT IS WRITTEN: 'Whatever you do, do it as to the Lord'—my work is worship, my tasks are altars. I am not surface-level; I am SERVING at depths others never see. The enemy tried to shame me for productivity, but IT IS WRITTEN that the blessing is commanded on my STOREHOUSES—and storehouses require work. The BARAK blessing flows through my hands. I am not spiritually shallow. I am a builder anointed to CREATE, SERVE, and ACCOMPLISH with the Spirit of God in every task.
The Father isn't waiting for you to sit still longer. He's celebrating every completed task, every project finished with excellence, every practical act of service. He's running toward you with a robe embroidered not with mystical experiences but with the legacy of faithful work done as unto Him.
