"My parents' debt and financial mistakes mean I start behind everyone else"
How it sounds in your head: Other kids don't worry about money. Their parents have savings and retirement. Mine have debt collectors calling. By the time I'm an adult, I'll be starting with nothing while everyone else has a head start. It's not fair.
"Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, and instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; everlasting joy shall be theirs."
-- Isaiah 61:7Enemy distorts stewardship teaching to create condemnation for parents' choices that don't affect the son's covenant position.
He overhears stress about bills and debt. He sees other families have what his doesn't. Logic says starting with debt is worse than starting with savings.
This widow was down to her LAST MEAL—one handful of flour, one drop of oil—preparing to eat it with her son and then die of starvation. Elijah showed up, she gave what little she had, and her flour and oil NEVER RAN OUT through the entire famine—INSTANT provision that sustained them for YEARS.
I REFUSE the lie that my family's debt determines my starting point. IT IS WRITTEN: instead of shame I have DOUBLE HONOR, instead of lack I receive DOUBLE PORTION. God is not limited by bank accounts or credit scores. IT IS WRITTEN: my God supplies ALL my needs according to His riches in glory (Phil 4:19). The BARAK blessing doesn't require a trust fund or inheritance. It operates by COVENANT. God took Israel from 400 years of slavery to leaving Egypt with GOLD AND SILVER in ONE NIGHT. I am not behind. I am positioned for supernatural acceleration and breakthrough that has nothing to do with my starting point.
Your Father sees you where you are and isn't worried about the deficit. He's running toward you with the oil that NEVER runs out, the provision that defies natural logic, the blessing that overtakes you before you even start working for it.
