"My older brother got everything and I'm left with nothing."
How it sounds in your head: I watch other kids get new stuff while I'm stuck with hand-me-downs. My parents don't have money for what I need. The cool kids have everything and I'm the poor one.
"And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise."
-- Galatians 3:29Enemy: planting comparison and jealousy to blind you to covenant inheritance that has nothing to do with family income.
You see physical evidence - other kids have gaming systems, new shoes, trips. Your family budget is tight and you hear 'we can't afford that' repeatedly.
Isaac sowed in famine and reaped a hundredfold THE SAME YEAR because the Lord blessed him. He became so wealthy the Philistines envied him - instant multiplication in the worst economic conditions.
I REFUSE the lie that my family's finances determine my inheritance. IT IS WRITTEN: I am Abraham's seed and heir according to promise. The BARAK that protected Abraham when he lied, that made Isaac rich in famine, that multiplied Jacob's flocks - that same blessing is mine NOW. I'm not waiting to grow up or get a job. IT IS WRITTEN: God commands blessing on my storehouses right now. I am the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath - not someday, but TODAY because I'm in covenant.
Your Father isn't rationing blessings between you and your siblings like pizza slices. He's the God who fed 5,000 with leftovers - there's MORE than enough and your portion is FULL because you're His son.
