"My intensity and passion are too much for people to handle"
How it sounds in your head: Every time you get excited about something, people pull back. Your roommates say you're 'a lot.' That girl said you came on too strong. Your energy exhausts everyone around you. Maybe you need to dim your light so others feel comfortable.
"But His word was in my heart like a burning fire shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, and I could not."
-- Jeremiah 20:9Enemy using others' insecurity to silence the lion roar God put in you
Friends have literally said 'you're too much' when you got passionate about your faith or a project. You've watched people's eyes glaze over when you talk about what fires you up, so now you rehearse toning it down before every conversation.
John wore camel hair, ate locusts, and screamed at religious leaders calling them vipers—absolute wildman energy. Jesus said he was the GREATEST born of women, and crowds traveled miles into the desert just to experience his intensity.
I REFUSE the lie that my God-given intensity is a burden to manage. IT IS WRITTEN that His word is like BURNING FIRE in my bones that I cannot hold back. I am not 'too much'—I am EXACTLY the voltage God designed. The BARAK blessing on my life means I don't shrink to make mediocrity comfortable. IT IS WRITTEN that those who wait on the Lord shall RENEW their strength, shall mount up with wings like EAGLES. I am an eagle, not a caged canary. My passion is not a flaw to fix but a FLAME to fuel, and the Father is fanning it, not extinguishing it.
The Father isn't handing you a dimmer switch—He's pouring gasoline on your fire. While you're apologizing for your intensity, He's roaring over you, 'FINALLY, a son who burns like I do!'
