"My impulsive purchases prove I'm not trustworthy with more, so God can't bless me."
How it sounds in your head: I buy things I don't need when I'm emotional. Another dress. More home décor. The expensive face cream. If I can't manage $500 responsibly, why would God trust me with $5,000? He's probably withholding until I prove I can be faithful with little.
"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
-- Romans 5:8Religion's teaching that God tests you with small amounts and graduates you based on performance—Luke 16:10 weaponized.
The 'faithful with little, ruler over much' verse seems clear, and her Amazon order history is embarrassing. Logic says you don't give car keys to someone who crashes bikes.
He owed ten thousand talents—BILLIONS in today's money, utterly impossible to repay through better management. The master forgave the ENTIRE debt in one moment of compassion with zero repayment plan or behavioral probation.
I REFUSE the lie that my impulsive purchases disqualify me from God's blessing. IT IS WRITTEN that God demonstrated His love by giving Christ while I was STILL a sinner—He doesn't wait for perfect financial management. My Father gave His GREATEST treasure when I had nothing to offer, and He's not withholding provision until I pass a budgeting test. IT IS WRITTEN that I am Abraham's seed, and the BARAK blessing covered him even when he LIED to kings. My blessing is based on CHRIST'S performance, not mine. I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, and there is NO CONDEMNATION for those in Christ. I declare I am blessed in the city and in the field, blessed in my storehouses, and my Father delights in prospering me because I'm His daughter, not because I earned it.
Your Father knows every impulse purchase and still calls you RIGHTEOUS. He's not withholding blessing until you master a budget—He's commanding blessing on your life RIGHT NOW because the blessing was never about your management; it was about His NATURE and Christ's finished work.
